NEEDED: LDS Mother/Daughter Pregnant at the Same Time for ABC Documentary

Hello friends,
I was contacted today by ABC FAMILY about a documentary they are doing on Mothers/Daughters who are pregnant at the same time.  I told them I would help spread the word.  Deadline is next week sometime.   Will you please help spread the word?

This would be a wonderful opportunity for LDS/Mormon Women to share their feelings on motherhood and womanhood, with others in the world.

Here's the message:

Gratitude is a Hope Booster

My dear friend, Vickey, blogs at Goodness Matters.  She always posts things of Gratitude, Hope, Joy, Love, Peace, Faith, Fortitude, and Goodness.  Each time I read her messages I am moved by her faith and good cheer.  She's suffered many set-backs in life and is enduring some current huge issues of health (amongst other things.)

Her heart sings despite all her trials - and....maybe because of them.  She has overcome the world.

She helps me want to be better.  She teaches me that all these things are a test of our faith as well as a blessing to help us become more pure and refined.  They bring us closer to Christ - if we'll let them.

When Vickey posts - her message resonates with my soul for she teaches truth.  Even if she's writing about difficulties - she helps me see the power of Goodness that shines through them.  And...her message is one of Trusting in God, Learning of Him, Becoming like Him through the purifying process, and sharing His goodness with others'.

Thank you, Vickey, for your light, love and example.  Thank you for sharing Goodness with the rest of us!  Goodness Matters

LDS Church Temples.  This is an incredibly beautiful and amazing site about LDS/Mormon Temples across the world.

It is a 'labor of love' produced by Rick Satterfield - of Pocatello, Idaho. 

I would personally like to thank him for all the work that he has done.  I've visited his site several times and, today, in particular it was extra meaningful to me as I needed to call several temples across the globe - for a dear friend who is very ill.  I wanted to phone the Temples that were of particular personal meaning to her.  The result, for me, was a sacred experience.  And....I thank Rick for sharing incredible photos of these Holy places of worship for us.  They are glorious edifices in which we learn the ways of the Lord.  I love the Temple.  It is a place of safety and peace for me.  I long to spend my days there.  I feel at home there - and close to God.  It is a miracle that we have these Holy Places in which to worship and learn and receive great blessings.  LDS Church Temples

Spreading Light - Sunshine

The internet is filled with all sorts of content; personal opinions, ideas, crafts, history, recipes, discussions, arguments, strong headings and sub-titles geared towards inciting emotions and passions etc. 

Many of these things, including wonderful content about the gospel, home and families, sharing of ideals and values, and strengthening one another can bless and uplift.  Those to the contrary - do just the opposite.

Today I share a message about Spreading Light.  Perhaps the words to a sweet hymn 'Scatter Sunshine' are a co-partner to that message.  Each word and thought that we share has energy.  It can do good and uplift and enlighten or it can further the work of the adversary himself who seeks to demean, destroy and depress.

In a world where sorrow
Ever will be known,
Where are found the needy
And the sad and lone,
How much joy and comfort
You can all bestow,
If you scatter sunshine
Ev’rywhere you go.

Are We Doing Good Online?

Most of us want to 'Do Good', don't we?   How can we be more effective online?  What can we share for the betterment of others'?  Our words and messages are important.  We will, one day, give an account of all we did in life.  Are the things we're doing online appropriate and uplifting?

I think of Alma who said "For our words will condemn us, yea, all our works will condemn us; we shall not be found spotless; and our thoughts will also condemn us; and in this awful state we shall not dare look up to our God, and we would fain be glad if we could command the rocks and the mountains to fall up on us to hide us from his presence."

Perhaps some don't realize that the words they speak really do affect others as well as themselves.

When Elder Ballard asked us to 'join the conversation' - we took heed.  We realized the importance of these modern-day technologies.  My opinion is that they were created to be able to share the gospel, strengthen and uplift others, do family histories, and bless lives.
