We come to earth for a reason and for a season. The reasons are 1. to get a mortal body, 2. to be tried and tested and 'proven', 3. to see if we will do all things that the Lord has commanded us.
The adversary tries to do the opposite to us. That is why he is called 'the adversary'.
The plan is real. It was founded in heaven eons of time before we came here, by a loving Heavenly Father who wants nothing more than for us to return to His presence. But, not all can abide that type of holy atmosphere; for He is Holy.
So, in order for us to reach that level of attainment, we are here to learn the plan, strive to live it to our best ability, repent and change when we err (which we will), continue to learn more and more (from grace to grace as the Savior did), until we arrive at that place where we are worthy enough to enter His presence.
President Russell M. Nelson, has taught:
Now is the time. But how do we prepare? Begin with repentance! Scripture declares, “If ye have sought to do wickedly in the days of your probation, then ye are found unclean before the judgment-seat of God; … no unclean thing can dwell with God.”15 He gave this simple rule: “Except ye abide my law ye cannot attain to this glory.”16
Now is the time to show reverent respect for one’s physical body. It serves as the tabernacle for one’s spirit throughout all eternity. Physical appetites are to be controlled by the will of one’s spirit. We are to “deny [our]selves of all ungodliness.”17 We are to “forsake all evil and cleave unto all good, [and] live by every word which proceedeth forth out of the mouth of God.”18
Because of frequent and frightening calamities in the world, some people doubt the existence of God. But, in fact, He is trying to help us. He revealed these words: “How oft have I called upon you by the mouth of my servants, and by the ministering of angels, and by mine own voice, and by the voice of thunderings, and … tempests, … earthquakes, … great hailstorms, … famines and pestilences of every kind, … and would have saved you with an everlasting salvation, but ye would not!”19
His hope for us is eternal life. We qualify for it by obedience to covenants and ordinances of the temple—for ourselves, our families, and our ancestors. We cannot be made perfect without them.20 We cannot wish our way into the presence of God. We are to obey the laws upon which those blessings are predicated.21"

I know these things to be true for I have learned them for myself. Over many years of study and prayer I have received confirmation in my heart and mind that the Lord indeed does have a plan for each of us and that plan encompasses all things about our own personal growth and progression; eternal progression.
An ancient Prophet taught: "For behold, this alife is the time for men to bprepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of cthis life is the day for men to perform their dlabors." Alma 34:32
I am grateful for noble women of all ages and areas of the world who are striving to live up to these teachings. They bless my life through their service to their families (in the way they are teaching the rising generation) and in their communities.
I am blessed by their lives and their faithful examples and pray to continue on this same path of happiness; for assuredly, that is what it is.
