It's been awhile.....

I haven't blogged in quite some time. I'm not as regular as I used to be. I'm not even sure why I'm writing today except that I was sitting here at my computer and felt it would be a good time to 'catch-up' with you a bit.

I don't know if anyone even reads this anymore, though I do know that I still am getting thousands of views a month on this site.

The challenge I've been facing is how to proceed and what I want this site to be.  For a long time I've felt to share about the things that matter most in life; the things that are of eternal significance.

What are the things that matter most to YOU?
Why do you value them?
What do you do to ensure you keep them at the forefront and not lose them to the 'busyness' of life?

Last night our ward (congregation) children did the Nativity. It was precious and very touching. The leaders worked hard to bring everything together and I was deeply moved. I felt it was the BEST way to begin this Christmas Season and to focus on its' True Meaning.

I'm so very grateful for the birth and life of our Savior and ALL that He has done for me. I wouldn't be where I am today were it not for Him. I owe Him my all and strive to give it.

The Noble Roles of Women

This site will be taking a new direction. I feel to share things I've learned through study and ponder about the noble roles of women on this earth.

There is no greater role for a man than that of husband and father. Today I honor you all by sharing this powerful message of truth about that sacred and vital calling:

New Year's Resolutions or Goals

It's often a daily resolve to try to do better. I'm not going to talk about goals on here except to say that I know they are VERY important; and that specific and measurable goals bring specific and measurable results. Rather, I'm going to talk about the importance of trying to gain salvation and the inherit blessings with that.

Young Mothers - Challenges and Blessings

My 21 year-old recently returned missionary daughter, Ashley, was asked to watch three young neighbor children today for a few hours today. Their mother has been very ill and in need of some rest and healing. Ashley was going to take them to feed the ducks at the BYU-'duck' Pond, do some finger-painting, and take them to play in the park.

Ten Things I KNOW for Certain

Today we spoke in our Fort Walton 'Ward' (Church Congregation). We'd been asked to speak on a topic relevant for end-of-year or beginning of New Year. (Church members give the talks and prayers each week.)  I was immediately 'given' to know the topic I should speak on. I entitled it "Ten Things I Know for Certain."

I asked the congregation to think of the things they KNEW for CERTAIN. And, that, perhaps, at the beginning of the New Year, they could make it something to work on in 2018, finding out some more things "for certain'.
